Inspiring photographers - David Bailey

“You can’t create a portrait by yourself.  I always tell people it’s them taking the photograph, not me.  For me it’s always about the people. I’ve never been interested in trees or mountains much.  I admire Ansel Adams, but I’ve never been a big fan of what he does.  Really it’s just another f------ tree, isn’t it?”

David Bailey

I've been looking for an old interview with David Bailey that I read some years ago where he discussed his approach to a portrait session.  I'll keep searching for that; in the meantime I found this in The Daily Telegraph.
